The new Panasonic AF100 large sensor HD video camera brings Cinematic shallow depth of field into a small, affordable, true video camera. Recording on inexpensive SD cards in full raster HD AVCCAM PH format, Panasonic makes shooting cine style with most any 35mm SLR and PL-mount Cine lenses easy and reliable.  The micro 4/3" format CMOS sensor is four times as large as 2/3" sensors, and almost as large as a 35mm motion picture frame.  The myriad of lenses allows for creative image making without the compromises of DSLR cameras or 35mm DOF adapters.

The AF100 can shoot in low light with ISO settings from 200 to 3200, providing very shallow depth of field with fast lenses.  Video camera features make shooting Cinematic images very convenient, such as built-in ND filters, HD SDI, HDMI and composite video outputs for proper monitoring with the option to record externally, HD LCD articulated display and LCD viewfinder with waveform, vector, zebras and focus in red to aid in exposure and critical focus, time code, XLR audio inputs at line and mic. level with phantom power for microphones, manual audio control and monitoring via earphone or speaker, built-in mic, variable frame rates up to 1080/60P over 24P or 30P for fast and slow motion effects with offspeed playback in camera, variable shutter speeds, comprehensive menu control of image parameters such as Cine gammas, color matrix, detail, black level, knee level, saturation.
