Fall 2007 saw SSV go solar. All of our battery chargers and test equipment use the sun's power. The same goes for the office, screening room, and practical lights.

We have a 4.3 Kilowatt system on the roof comprised of 22 BP 200 Watt solar panels and a Xantrex inverter.

It is estimated that the system will generate a total annual output of 8,170 kWh and a C02 reduction of 6,577 lbs. All unused power goes to the grid and gives our neighbors clean electric power.
